NEW Scholarships of Interest!




NATIONAL Scholarships:



  • Northeast Animal Hospital and Pets In The City,  two veterinary practices in St. Petersburg, Florida, are pleased to offer the Veterinary Science Scholarship. This Scholarship is available in the United States to college students attending the fall semester of 2017. Any student who meets the requirements outlined below and who can demonstrate his or her interest in pursuing a career in veterinary science will be considered.

               Deadline:  July 31, 2017


               Award Amount:  $500




  • The K. Hunter Goff Elder Law Scholarship.   Applicant must be attending college by Fall 2017 and have at least a 3.0 GPA. They must be interested pursuing a law-related degree.

Senior Scholarship Cover Sheet

Seniors - if you would like to be considered for a scholarship that is being given out on our campus, print and attach one of these cover sheets to any scholarship application / essay that you submit to the College & Career Center.  Questions, see Ms. Baumann.

Senior Scholarship Application 2016-17

This form is required for every senior who wishes to be considered for many of the scholarships give on the AHS campus.  These scholarships are given by individuals, organizations and the AHS Scholarship Committee.

Documents for Completing the FAFSA

To complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), you will need:

  • Your Social Security Number
  • Your Alien Registration Number (if you are not a U.S. citizen)
  • Your most recent federal income tax returns, W-2s, and other records of money earned. (Note: You may be able to transfer your federal tax return information into your FAFSA using the IRS Data Retrieval Tool.)
  • Bank statements and records of investments (if applicable)
  • Records of untaxed income (if applicable)
  • An FSA ID to sign electronically.
  • Parents birthdates
  • Parents marital status & date

If you are a dependent student, then you will also need most of the above information for your parent(s).



Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

Fill out this online application to receive financial aid for college in the form of grants (free money) and loans (must be paid back).

The appllication window opens on October 1st and the deadline to submit is March 2nd !

California Dream Act

The California Dream Act allows students who meet AB 540 criteria (California Education Code 68130.5(a)) to apply for and receive non-state funded scholarships for public colleges and universities state-funded financial aid such as institutional grants, community college fee waivers, Cal Grant and Chafee Grant.
